You can only run once instance of SEB at a time
Trend Micro Maximum Protection, even on 17.8 (latest version) will cause Safe Exam Browser (SEB) to show the following error message:
SEB Startup Not Allowed
Simply add SEB to the exception list.
Within Trend Micro Maximum Protection, use the gear-icon to enter the Protection settings, and expand the Exception List. Then in the Programs/folders section use the + Add button.
Copy-and-paste C:\Program Files\SafeExamBrowser\Application\SafeExamBrowser.exe
Or manually navigate to This PC, then open Program Files, scroll down to SafeExamBrowser, open the Application folder, and finally scroll down to the SafeExamBrowser executable.
Either way once added the results should look like:
Trend Micro Exception List Entry for SEB
Then simply Apply + OK, and return to your course to proceed with Safe Exam Browser (SEB) without any issues.
